Gears Tactics — is a top-down tactical strategy game in the futuristic universe of Gears of War. The game takes place 12 years before the events of the original series. You have to create your own squad, equip it with the best weapons and equipment and send it on a mission, during which the fighters will meet not only ordinary enemies, but also insanely strong bosses. Gears Tactics is a turn-based strategy developed by the guys who worked on Gears 5. Microsoft conceived the game as a way to expand the franchise beyond the console market, because they are not particularly played in strategy.

Key Features

The only decent representative of the genre on the Xbox One was the Halo Wars series, but there is nothing more to boast of consoles. Gears Tactics, according to the creators, should be a fresh breath in the genre of tactical strategies, both on the console from Microsoft and on the PC. In general, the project positions itself as a faster and more dynamic tactical strategy than the classic representatives of the genre. There is no familiar grid of squares, so you can freely move around the map. At each turn, the player has a choice between three actions: moving, shooting, or using a skill.

How to Install the Game

  1. To start, you need to download the game files.
  2. Then, unpack the archive with «WinRar» or an analog.
  3. Mount the resulting image in the «UltraISO» program.
  4. Install the game, agreeing with the installation wizard.
  5. Copy the contents of the folder «CODEX» to the folder with the game.
  6. Lock the game folder in the Windows firewall.
  7. Play!

Fixed an issue where units can’t be selected, most notably seen in Act 1 Chapter 6.
Fixed game turn getting stuck when using the Vanguard Distraction ability on a Sniper Drone that is pinning the Vanguard.
Fixed the Vanguard Breach ability re-applying the AP/Heal buff more than once.
 
Visuals
Fixed an issue where characters could appear with untextured armor when editing armor in the Barracks.
Improved image quality while using Variable Rate Shading.
Fixed untextured parts of the Mammoth in Act 1 Mission 4.
Fixed holes seen in the environment in the Act 1 convoy while using ultra-wide monitors.
