SIMULACRA 3 follows the canons of the Japanese horror genre and offers you to get acquainted with another incredible dark urban legend about the evil ghost of a witch. Events unfold in a fictional Asian town called Stonecreek. It was once a thriving modern settlement, but now the city has begun to disappear en masse. They simply dissolved in the air and left behind only strange symbols that no one can interpret and decipher.
The protagonist of SIMULACRA 3 is an ordinary intern from a small local newspaper, who was assigned to help with the famous journalist Ruby Myers, who is investigating this case. The police are confused, but the girl learns that before his disappearance, the programmer Paul Castillo managed to record several videos that can give at least some clues to unraveling a series of strange events. From the information found at the beginning, the heroes become aware that the ghost of the witch Beldama has returned to this world and the loss may be his deeds.
A significant part of the time, the user will interact with the smartphone in order to extract the maximum information from there. All videos recorded on the device are not animation, but cinematic shooting, which adds realism to the horror.
